These were the same stars as the initial version (gold and red), only that they were painted green.

Such stars were in use from their introduction until the collapse of the Soviet Union. They were not segregated in any particular way and were issued to soldiers on a "star is a star" - because we know that for collectors and re-enactors this is important, we have therefore sorted them into basic types.
