There is also a noticeable reduction in accuracy due to die usage. Whiskers for attachment to the cap vertically aligned. Arm width 22mm.

Such stars were in use from their introduction until the collapse of the Soviet Union. They were not segregated in any particular way and were issued to soldiers on a "star is a star" - because we know that for collectors and re-enactors this is important, we have therefore sorted them into basic types.
